FreeWheelers 2009 Event Descriptions

January 9-11, 2009 (NOTE: this is the second week-end of the month instead of our usual 1st week-end)

Nancy Hoffman & Connie McKenna, and Beth Gilliam & Susan DuShane

Location: Delta Shores Resort & Marina, Isleton www.deltashores.com/resorts-delta.php

Delta Shores is a membership campground for ROD (Resorts of Distinction) and RPI (Resort Parks International) and perhaps other membership organizations as well. Nancy will be in charge of reservations, and Susan/Beth will be in charge of activities. FreeWheelers who are not members of ROD or RPI should make their reservations directly with Delta Shores at (916) 777-5577, and members should make their reservations (as they usually do) with their respective organization. In addition, you will need to let Nancy know that you are coming, along with your RVW number and which nights you will be staying. Send this information to her at her e-mail address listed above. Nancy will be there Thursday through Sunday as the member sponsoring guests. Hopefully it won't be as wet there as it was last year!

Location: Casa de Fruta, Hollister, CA

Casa de Fruta is located two miles east of the junction of Highway 152 and Highway 156, and is
easily accessible from Highway 5 or Highway 101, and is on the way to practically any place you'd like
to go.

• All RV sites are asphalt, which is a good thing if we have lots of rain!
• We have the use of a very large hall and kitchen for the entire weekend.
• Restaurant, candy store, wine tasting room and fruit stand are within walking distance
• Gilroy outlet malls are about 10 miles away
• Camping World about 10 miles away
• Cost is $35.64 per night (includes tax)
• Theme is Sing and Dance!

Motel rooms are also available on site. If you’d prefer to rent a motel room, please call Casa de

TENTATIVE AGENDA:

• Friday evening: Meet and Greet (BYOB and a snack to share)
• Saturday Morning: potluck breakfast
• Afternoon: Line dance lesson in the clubhouse
• Evening: potluck dinner
• After dinner: Sing-along with members of the All Girl Band (send requests in advance to Peggy
  and the band will strike them up!)
• Sunday morning: Clear the Fridge breakfast

Location: Angels Camp RV Resort, Angels Camp, CA

NOTE: This location was previously listed for June, but has moved to May to accommodate Corning in June! We will also be able to accommodate early arrivers on Thursday and stay-overs to Monday. If we get more than 35 rigs, we will have the whole park to ourselves. Angel's Camp RV and Camping Resort is located on Highway 49 South, across from New Lake Melones State Park. Angels Camp is an easy drive from Stockton and central California and is the perfect base camp for discovering the fun and excitement of the California Gold Country. Nearby are five gold rush era towns, wineries, caverns, New Lake Melones, historical state parks, easy access to many of California's most important gold rush sites, museums, golf, fishing and water and winter sports.
